Meh. I got about 20 pages in and it was just not doin' it for me. So, now I am trying a book I won back in August when I first started blogging:
The Crowning Glory of Calla Lilly Ponder by Rebecca Wells. I think it may just be the ticket judging by the first page.

Hope you climb out of that rut soon. It can be a bummer when you just can't get into books that you know you'd love otherwise..
Maybe it's too late for my 2 cents...I can get into a reading rut too, and my solution is to not read. Seriously. Don't read for a while. Then you'll jump in with such gusto you'll easily make up for lost time.
Works for me!
Hope you like this one Lisa as I have the audio version of it.
Janet Evanovich is best listened to in the car in traffic. Light and amusing. Some books just lend themselves to that as opposed to an evening on the couch you know?
Oh how I hate the dreaded reading rut. I had one for a few weeks and then poof! it was gone. Good Luck
Awww, sorry to hear about your reading rut. Hang in there love, maybe you just need a rest. Your passion is too great for this to be a permanent thing... it will pass.
I have ruts as well, like my laundry rut (just cant get into a good load of whites these days)
Le sigh.... LOL
I hope this one pulls you out of your rut!
If it helps, I wasn't a big fan of One For The Money, either. The only reason I continued with the series was because I had taken a 3-in-1 Stephanie Plum book out of the library and didn't have anything else to read at the time. However, I loved 2nd & 3rd books, so maybe start the series off with those instead?
I'm not a big fan of the Stephanie Plum series. I've tried a few of them and just can't get into them.
This book is definately pulling me out of my rut! Thanks to everyone! And I may just skip a couple of the Plum ones and just try the 2nd or 3rd and see. If I don't like them, then I will donate the ones I have.
