Aleksandra: It is SUCH great read! And quick too. I just fell in love with the two main characters as well as the entire Steampunk world that Scott Westerfeld created. My 10 year old is reading it right now, and is loving it as well.

i loved the uglies series, and read each one straight after the other, and so i am being strong and avoiding reading leviathan until the series is all finished and published because my heart can't stand the intensity of waiting for the next one in the series to come along!

i'm afraid to admit that i've never read any scott westerfeld as you seem such a rabid fan! you won't hurl stones, will you?

i did take out one of his books from the library but then found out it was from a series and it wasn't the first book. i never bothered to get book 1...but now i'm wondering if i missed something great.

if your post is any way to judge, i guess i have to get these books asap! :)

Mummazappa: I tried to read the first in the Uglies series but just couldn't get into it. Maybe I should give them another go! Good idea waiting, he seems to write them pretty quick so the trilogy might be done by 2011.

Natalie: I would never throw stones at you! Not big ones anyway... ;)
Leviathan is nothing like his Ugly series, totally different! It is a fun Steampunk world with great young characters with lots of great qualities. I say if you are going to try any books by him, that would be the one.

I have Leviathan out from the library at the moment. I haven't even read it yet, but I am still looking forward to this one.
