Since I missed the last few Mondays, I have a few to blab about!! WOOT!
Here they are in all their georgous bookiness:
(WOAH! Has this ever happened to you? You are literally typing your post for Mailbox Monday and the doorbell rings... Fed Ex delivering another book!!! I am soooo happyyy!!!)
- It's Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han YA available in April
- Claire De Lune by Christine Johnson YA Available May 18th
- Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready YA available May 18th
- She's So Dead to Us by Kieran Scott YA Available May 25th
- The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton
- Eternal on the Water by Joseph Monninger (I started this last Thurs and am LOOOVING it!)
- A book that I have been told to keep strictly under wraps until closer to the publication date, which is sometime in May. The only thing I will say is that it is YA and looks AMAZING! So, watch for it! I'll label the post "Mystery YA novel Revealed!"
The book that was sent to me and arrived literally a moment ago is:
MISTRESS OF ROME by Kate Quinn Available April 6th 2010.
THANK YOU, KAITLYN!
I suddenly have A LOT of review books to read, as I have some from awhile ago that I am still working my way through... ACK! I have now placed the stack in priority of A) books that I've had for awhile and have not yet reviewed, B) books with an imminent release date C) and books with a release date in May. So, I am not doing much recreational reading at the moment! But I must say that so far the books FEEL very much like recreation as I am really liking them or loving them.
What's in YOUR mailbox this week?
11 Blabs:
Aw, how awesome! This never happens to me.
Clair de Lune looks so great. So does It's Not Summer Without You... I haven't read The Summer I Turned Pretty though. Is this one a sequel? Or not? Hope you enjoy all the books! Oh, and I'm pretty excited to know which book is this "SUPER SECRET YA NOVEL!". :)
Hey Raila! (I'm sorry, I don't know how to do the accent on your "i"! I have an accent on my last name, and have yet to learn how to do that!)
ANYway, It IS a sequel! But I have not read the first one, and I still really enjoyed it. I think you will LOVE the super secret book... I haven't started it yet, but the cover is GEORGOUS, the premise is VERY COOL, and the first couple of pages is very very good!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
Oooh! I'm dying to know what the mystery book is! I've been wanting to get my hands on the Forgotten Garden book too.
In response to your question about how I do the images on my MM posts, I use the Paint program, size the images so that they are all similar and then select them and save them (copy to) a single image. (If that doesn't make sense feel free to email me.)
I've heard The Forgotten Garden is wonderful! I'm really curious about the super secret YA title!
You got a lot of great looking books! I have The Forgotten Garden on my shelf TBR and look forward to reading it. Your mystery books sounds very intriguing. I have too many books TBR also and I'm trying to be more selective. It can be challenging with so many good books to read!!
I would love to be able to reach into the screen and pick several of those right off the page!
You really hit the jackpot Lisa; enjoy
Wow! The mailman was good to you. Well I'll have to check back for your review ! Happy reading :0)
Thank you for the lovely comment on my blog. ;) I'll be back to read more of your blog, but did want to stop by to say hello. And how fun that your daughter is uber into ghosts! ;)
I have The Forgotten Garden here but haven't gotten to it yet. Eternal On The Water is sooo good! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Enjoy your new books!
Wow, you got a lot of great books this week! I cannot wait to find out what the super secret YA novel is :)
